Bravo Mining’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Policy defines our principles and how the company aims to operate responsibly and contribute positively to society. It guides our commitment to sustainable development, transparency, and long-term stakeholder trust.

Environment, Social & Governance

Environmental Stewardship

Bravo integrates conservation and efficiency into its exploration activities and closure planning.

Key commitments include:

  • Minimizing emissions, waste, and water impact.
  • Designing operations with closure in mind.
  • Operating a native plant nursery producing ~20,000 trees annually for regional reforestation and biodiversity restoration, supporting revegetation and carbon offsetting efforts.

Our people and communities are central to our success. Bravo upholds:

  • Health & Safety: Zero lost-time incidents since 2022. We maintain programs and practices intended to safeguard the well-being of our employees, contractors, and communities.

  • Community Investment: As a proud part of the community we provide support to nearly 300 community members around Serra Pelada.

Governance Excellence

Bravo operates under strong governance policies that aim to promote ethical, transparent, and accountable conduct.

  • Code of Conduct & Ethics: Ensures integrity, respect, and compliance in all operations.
  • Anti-Bribery and Whistleblower Policies: Reinforce our zero-tolerance stance on corruption and misconduct.
  • Audit & Monitoring: Regular oversight to ensure compliance with internal controls and Canada’s Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA).
  • Training: Annual ESG and compliance training for all employees, contractors, and directors.

ESG Monitoring

Bravo tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across Environment (Planet), Social (People & Community), and Governance (Stakeholder Engagement) to assess progress toward sustainability goals.

Health & Safety

Since Bravo’s foundation, the Company has prioritized the health, safety, and well-being of its employees and contractors as a core value integrated into all operations.

Before starting field activities, Bravo established clear guidelines and responsibilities for Health and Safety (H&S) management, which are formally embedded in the company’s ESG Policy.

Overall philosophy - Bravo’s philosophy centers on preventing accidents and promoting a safe and healthy work environment. The Company fosters a culture of prevention through training sessions, awareness campaigns, and regular talks on key health and safety topics.

Bravo also strives for full compliance with all applicable Brazilian legal requirements, including:

  • PGR – Risk Management Program: Identifies, evaluates, and controls occupational and environmental risks in the workplace.
  • PCMSO – Occupational Health Medical Control Program: Establishes actions to protect workers’ health, prevent occupational diseases, and monitor work-related conditions.
  • Provision, training, and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Periodic, pre-employment, and termination medical examinations.

These measures reflect Bravo’s commitment to a safe, responsible, and sustainable work environment—one that protects people while supporting the Company’s long-term growth.

Generation of Quality Jobs and Local Economic Growth

Bravo generates quality direct and indirect jobs (with formal contracts and benefits) and promotes local hiring, local contracting and purchasing, where feasible.

By prioritizing local content, such as local hiring, materials purchasing, and regional service contracting, Bravo helps strengthen local economies, creating jobs and income.

Fight Against Hunger

With the support of its directors, employees and suppliers, Bravo promotes an annual food donation campaign for people in vulnerable situations in the communities surrounding the project.

Support for Social Projects

Bravo’s social projects aim to improve participants’ education, culture, and leisure through sports, theater, ballet, and regional dance.

Currently, Bravo supports initiatives that benefit more than 300 people, including children and seniors.
